How to get pet hair off a fabric sofa
- Take the cushions off. Shake them outside and work on the frame and the cushions separately.
- Dampen your tool slightly. A rubber glove or rubber rake works better when it's barely damp: wet enough to grip, never wet enough to soak the fabric.
- Stroke in one direction. Short strokes the same way roll the hair into clumps instead of pushing it around.
- Pick up the clumps. Lift them off by hand or with the hoover's crevice tool.
- Hoover the seams. Hair hides along the piping and down the sides of the seat.
